The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
